I speak of love that comes to mind:
The moon is faithful, although blind;
She moves in thought she cannot speak.
Perfect care has made her bleak.

I never dreamed the sea so deep,
The earth so dark; so long my sleep,
I have become another child.
I wake to see the world go wild.

Found this in a notebook from a while ago, found it amusing. added a few lines

Hell for a girl from sun-drenched canyons,
expansive deserts,
comforting dry heat
that envelopes manila beaches
encased by orange and purple hues
by the San Diego sunset,
Is Ohio.

In Ohio,
the absence of the constant breeze,
the beaming sun,
oppresses the girls flaming spirit.
She is weighted down by the grotesque snow,
the muffling Midwest modesty
that bores her
isolates her
and leaves her clawing
to escape the suffocation
she endures.
In Ohio

So she moved to the concrete jungle,
dense with walls,
covered by pollution and skyscrapers,
situated on a tiny island.
Thinking her spirit would flourish
in the gridded empire,
she voluntarily left her midwestern confines
for the opposite coast
for New York City.

Makes sense.
